Last Saturday, I held my first class as approved instructor for Utah’s Concealed Firearm Permit. The class was held in my living room in Ladera Ranch, and feedback is that it went pretty well. (Future classes will be held at my office in Laguna Hills.) Fourteen students signed up (for some reason, Beach Cities FNRA decided not to submit for bidding the seat I donated, which would have made fifteen). One canceled, but instructed me to forward his donation anyway. (The class started off as a charity, and we raised $200 for Serra Catholic School plus $100 for Knights of Columbus.) One of the students, an NRA officer and fellow Catholic lawyer, also served as guest speaker. The class ran a bit long, so two of the 13 students present had to leave early and will complete the class later. Lots of hard work preparing the course, but should be easier next time.
