It’s not just those “packing,” but also the family members, employees, customers, etc., they protect, and all of those who know they should be doing the same thing but just haven’t gotten around to it or don’t know how to start. Gun owners are knowledgeable and dedicated voters and educators of their fellow citizens. Even now, there is no more active group politically, and there is no political precedent for depriving large numbers of American parents of reasonable means to protect their families. One hopes they realize what they are getting into before it’s too late.
