Chris Norby was one of the votes against appointing anti-self-defense monster Sandra Hutchens as sheriff, and was the most active voice against her arbitrary/unreasonable CCW policy.  I saw him at the BOS hearings on CCW over the last year and he's extremely sharp.

Supervisor Chris Norby has announced plans to run for the state Assembly seat left open by Mike Duvall’s resignation today. Norby is termed out on the Board of Supervisors and had planned to run for office next year as the county’s clerk-recorder. He quickly changed his plans this afternoon.
