Once Bill Hunt is elected Sheriff this June, he is widely expected to issue CCW's based upon a good cause standard of mere personal protection (which was good enough for the Founders!), as long as the applicant is otherwise qualified.  However, the application form will likely be similar to the current form, and it may still help to be able to state that you have a ccw issued by another state (see picture of current question on this).

Taking my free class (www.worldexaminer.com) now for the 30-state nonresident Utah permit will get you started on the process, which takes several months.  You also learn basic gun safety and will probably be able to argue more knowledgeably for electing Bill Hunt as the sheriff candidate most friendly to our constitutional rights.

The all-day class is free to the public, and twice as long as some that cost several hundred dollars.  Mainly geared toward novices but broad in scope, even experienced shooters will pick up something useful.  The class is conducted entirely at my law office in Laguna Hills, and there is no need for any equipment (no live shooting, just a laser simulator).
