I’m entering the final stretch of a six month ordeal at renewing various licenses. Seven months, if you include December’s last minute CLE to maintain my Washington bar ticket. (California CLE was due the prior year.) In addition to preparing for tax season(!) as a tax preparer and digesting changes affecting trust attorneys, early this year I had to renew my notary commission; in May I’ll renew my CA real estate broker license; and in June I’ll fly to Utah to renew my Concealed Firearm Instructor license.  As a firearms instructor, I also obtained certification by CA DOJ to issue the Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) required to purchase a handgun in CA.
