Spectre of 401k Confiscation May Change Asset Protection Planning

Up until recently, I asked clients to consider asset protection planning in light of whether, in the event of an unfortunate lawsuit, their families could survive and thrive on just their 401k and IRA, and any other protected assets.

Increased talk of potential confiscation of retirement funds may increase the need for this type of planning.
