Hypocrite Glenn Beck Has Only Himself (and Levin) to Blame

So Glenn Beck calls John Kasich a “son of a bitch” for arrogantly staying in the race instead of deferring to other candidates with more of a chance to trump Trump.

What a complete hypocrite, and an arrogant one at that!

Beck (and Levin), by supporting the ineligible Cruz and refusing to air an honest discussion of the issue, dismissing opponents as “birthers”, sucked the air out of the campaigns of ELIGIBLE conservatives and that is why we are forced to take a chance on Trump at this point. (Hopefully, Trump will pan out and then maybe we can ironically thank them, but we would all feel better with a solid conservative who is eligible.)

Given that ONE-THIRD of the GOP questions the eligibility of Cruz (and Rubio), don’t you think an ELIGIBLE conservative would have closed the gap in all these close races? Thanks for nothing, Beck and Levin!

At this point, Cruz would have to get something like 90% of the remaining delegates to clinch the nomination. It is time to come together and support Trump. Beck and Levin are only helping Hillary at this point.

Beck goes ballistic on John Kasich

Gov. John Kasich Conservative radio host and pundit Glenn Beck came out hard against John Kasich in a recent broadcast, slamming the Ohio governor for his arrogance and for his perceived fantasy-land way of thinking his home state ballot win has sparked new campaign momentum. The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response… Continue reading

Trump is Reagan, Only More So

hildebeestThose of us who still hesitate to recognize Trump’s value and trust him, need to finally come on board. His win is inevitable at this point and we need to come together to maximize our chances against the Hildebeest.

Trump supported Reagan.

Reagan focused on three main issues to win the election. Trump’s three issues are: Nationalism, Military, Guns.

Despite a couple of unfortunate statements in the past on guns (waiting periods, assault weapons), those statements were not uncommon among conservatives at that time. Younger voters (aka “Gun Culture 2.0”) need to keep that in mind.

In this election, from the very beginning Trump has had the clearest pro-gun policy of any of the candidates. As a Carson supporter, I was frustrated that Trump always beat Carson to supporting guns when news events called for such support. Though Carson is ok on guns, his record is also mixed and the issue seemed to be not as high a priority with him.

Reagan was divorced. Trump was divorced. Reagan was a Democrat. Trump was a Democrat. Reagan had a murky record on guns. Trump had a murky record on guns (not as bad as Reagan’s, actually). But there is no better candidate on guns now. (Cruz is not eligible, and thankfully no longer has a realistic path to the nomination.)

Can we trust Trump on this issue? He wants to leave an honorable legacy for his family, and his namesake son is absolutely solid on the issue:

On March 7, Breitbart News published an exclusive interview with Donald Trump Jr. in which he summed up these things by pointing to his father’s commitment to the Second Amendment and his support for an armed citizenry. Don Jr. said:If you recall San Bernardino, if you recall Paris, [my father’s] the only one of these pro-Second Amendment candidates that said the next day–when things were still a little bit sensitive, when things were still understandably a little bit touchy–he was the only to say, “Hey, California, France, toughest gun laws in the world, if there were bullets going the other way maybe this would be a game changer. Maybe something different would happen.” What kind of a outcomes do you expect when you’re essentially setting up a system where it’s fish in a barrel because we know these gun laws only affect people who are actually willing to play by the rules? They do not affect people who are willing to kill people for their ideology.

Ted Cruz: Neither a Natural Born Citizen Nor “Trusted”

Generally, under Canada’s Citizenship Act of 1947, those born in Canada were automatically citizens at birth unless their parent was a foreign diplomat. So, Ted Cruz, the lawyer who graduated from Harvard Law School and who successfully argued cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, who got a passport in 1986 so that he could travel to Great Britain for a high school class trip, who is a U.S. Senator, who knew that one born in the United States while subject to its jurisdiction (which includes birth to alien parents) is a citizen of the United States, who knew that one who is born in the United States (the place of his birth) who leaves the U.S. even one minute after his birth is still a U.S. citizen, who knew that in the United States one can get a U.S. passport by presenting a U.S. birth certificate showing that one was born in the United States (the place of his birth), who knew that his father was born in Cuba and that his place of birth made him a Cuban citizen, who knew that his mother was born in the U.S. and that her place of birth made her a U.S. citizen, and who knew that he himself was born in Canada (the place of is birth) to parents neither of whom were foreign diplomats, did not know that his being born in Canada made him a Canadian citizen? Now really?

Ted Cruz Misrepresents the Law and His Being a Natural Born Citizen at Town Hall Meeting

In any event, the Third Congress repealed the 1790 Act when it passed the Naturalization Act of 1795, which removed “shall be considered as natural born citizens” and replaced it with “shall be considered as citizens of the United States.”  In 1795, the Third Congress, clearly indicated that Congress never intended to suggest that those persons were eligible to be President.  Rather, what it meant to do was to only naturalize them to enjoy all the privileges and immunities of citizens of the United States, who  were not eligible to be President under Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, unless also natural born citizens. Representative James Madison, along with the entire Third Congress, and with the approval of President George Washington, told us in 1795 through the Naturalization Act of 1795, that a person born out of the United States to U.S. citizen parents was not a “natural born citizen” of the United States, but rather a “citizen” of the United States.  By surgically changing this language as it did, the Third Congress, which still had many Founders and Framers among its ranks as did the First Congress, with the lead of then-Representative James Madison and with the approval of President Washington, made it known that Congress did not intend in 1790 to grant the status of natural born citizen to anyone born out of the United States, even if born to U.S. citizen parents.

If Winston Churchill Was Not Even a Citizen of the United States, How Can Ted Cruz Be Its Natural Born Citizen?

I will leave you with these quotes from Churchill himself.  “I am, as you know, half American by blood, and the story of my association with that mighty and benevolent nation goes back nearly ninety years to the day of my father’s marriage.” (1963).http://www.winstonchurchill.org/publications/finest-hour/62-finest-hour-151/1838–wit-and-wisdom-reflections-on-america .Some in the press wondered if Churchill, who was born to a U.S. citizen mother, would ever consider running for U.S. president.  When asked by a reporter in 1932 on running for President of the United States, he correctly and honestly responded: “There are various little difficulties in the way.  However, I have been treated so splendidly in the United States that I should be disposed, if you can amend the Constitution, seriously to consider the matter.”  The Definitive Wit of Winston Churchill 18 (ed. Richard M. Langworth 2009). But then that’s Winston Churchill, not Ted Cruz.
